Does it really help? already moms

Ok so I get this too and I always see it a lot on here. Does walking really help make labor easier or something? I'm a soon to be mommy in April and everyone always says "you should walk alot it will help" well does it?? I honestly don't think it would because it's just walking were not walking in duck squats or something to get the stretch down there..so has walking really helped you make labor kinda easier or??

Ive walked in all my pregnancies n it helped alot. My last pregnancy all i did was walk. We had no car so i was always walking. I was in labor for 7 hours total but felt the pain for one hour and then pushed 3 times and she was out. No epidural (couldnt stay still enough to get it lol) but it was fast. And i didnt rip either n she was 8lbs and 15oz 22cm long.. biggo baby lol

I always have the same question, i am 34 weeks pregnant and i can barely walk and always have this in back of my mind that i am going to have hard time delivering. I know 3 of my friends have same problem that they were not able to walk because of back pains but had eassy delivary . One had bed rest and c-section schulde but she ended up giving natural birth it's so hard to predict. I would rather go for an epidural than walking for 10 mins and be tired all day. One thing i can tell is walking helps us to be prepared for after delivering chores. If we r so used to lie in the bed we will have hard time running for the bus after pregnancy or carry the baby around:p this community is good at responding to rants than real health issues.

In my opinion it helps, im a mother of 3 with my 1st i was young and clueless didn't do much physical activity and was in labor for ever, with my 2nd i was always active i walked a lot the last month i had contractions for 4 hrs most of it at home i was on my feet the entire time going in in out of the hot shower when i went to the hospital i was 7 centimeters and had him with in 1 hr, my 3rd ended up in a csection due to other reasons, im a believer but i guess everyone is different it may be helpful for some and not really for others

I walked every night especially towards the end,  and my labor was about 5 hours both of my pregnancies and 15 min of pushing and i had my babies! And i have a friend who didn't do any walking for some reason and was in labor for 36 hours! And she was doing so much pushing that she couldn't push anymore cause she didn't have the energy!

Really no one can answer. You guys ask this all the time about walking and people answer back saying yes walk. And I'm asking this question because I want to know if it is true or not. But everyone else can answer right away to rants and drama right..

I've heard walking when you're in labor helps shorten the amount of time you're in labor and can sometimes reduce need for an epidural  (but that's ultimately your choice). I'm not an already mom, but this is what I've heard from some of my mom friends who are nurses... but I also have a bad case of baby brain right now so I may not be remembering the "when to walk" part right
