Thank you everyone! I just wanted to make sure the attachment wasn't just intended for short naps, I'm going to buy one right now!
This is my second child. I used the pack n play with bassinet in my room for the first 3-4 months with my son and transitioned to the crib 81st around 6 months. I haven't purchased a pack n play yet but will very soon it's much easier waking up with baby at night because it's right there bed side.
I used the bassinet part of the pack and play for my daughter, she was tiny so it lasted her quite a few months and then we switched her to a crib, we bought that later on.
For this pregnancy my daughter is going into a big girl bed and I'll be using her crib in our room for the new baby.
We have a crib in our baby's room but are planning on the pack n play with the attachment in our room for the first month or so. I can't see spending money on a bassinet that won't be used for long when the pack n play will be able to be used for so much longer.
Absolutely. We did that with our daughter. She was in the bassinet attachment on the pack n play for awhile in our room, than switched her to the pack n play main portion. It helped a LOT specially since I had a c section.
I bought a playpen/bassinet I'm a ftm and I'll keep her in her bassinet for a bit then let her sleep in the playpen much easier than a big old crib
I'm a first time mom so not sure how helpful but we chose a pack and play rather than a bassinet. One reason too expensive to have both another we don't have room and third I believe my baby girl will grow out of the bassinet fairly quick but she can use the pack and play a lot longer. The pack and play we have has the attachment so I think it will work perfect. Well I'm hoping it does. Good luck!
