baby shower???

when is the appropriate time to have a baby shower, my cousin is planning mine and she says she wants to throw it in December, I told her best she has it the end of November instead of close to Christmas in December when people are usually busy and have other things to spend money on.....what do you all think???

I agree with you. My mother was wanting me to have mine on Christmas, Thanksgiving, or my sons birthday. I told her no. It isn't like she's going to pay for it anyway. She can afford a cruise but not anything for a baby shower and then steal the credit. This time everyone will know my husband paid for it all. And we're having it in October. I'm due in January.  I want it early because my last pregnancy was early and I want to prepare better and be prepared. My mom kept saying don't buy this and that wait til the shower well he came shortly after and we didn't have everything.

Be thankful your cousin is throwing you one.

Any time up to about December 10, because of the holidays.  But it's awfully nice of your cousin to throw the party, so make the suggestion nicely.  :)
