Im 35weeks and 4 days and I haven't bought anything, even a pair of socks. My Hubby and Granny believe in buying things once baby is born, I'm so scared about the whole idea and at times i get tempted that i should buy few outfits and hide them. But then again I feel guilty so i guess im just gonna wait till baby comes.

I started buying some cutesy things at around 16 weeks- Books, hooded towels, a singing elephant and other little fun things. Once I found out the gender at 20 weeks, I bought clothing, crib, car seat, stroller, swing, bouncer, and a carrier. To be honest the big things are expensive, but the smaller items end up costing more. Silly me thought I was done buying at like 27 weeks. LOL. High chair, baby tub, sound machine, breast milk storage bags/bottles, tummy time mat, diaper bag, baby monitor, baby bullet and baby food storage, blankets, waterproof pads, and alllll that other stuff you don't technically need but it makes life easier was purchased in the past few weeks. I didn't have a baby shower- but I did get a few baby gifts from people at Christmas. Start early! Especially if you're budgeting!

Why do people stock on diapers so early on ? Why not buy them when you need them after the baby's born ?

We started buying outfits at 25 weeks because most people are no going to buy outfits you would want.yiur baby to wear. Everything else we waited until after the shower and got so many packs of diapers and gift cards that we did not have to come out the pocket at all. We were able to buy the crib, stroller, and carseat etc with the amount of gift cards. Atvthe moment, we are buying sleeps and clothes because we did not realize he needed more of those so we are focusing on that.

Baby showers are sooooo unpredictable because people really don't buy what u need they buy what they can afford. I still brought the things I needed if I got extra cool but I needed to make sure I had what I needed not what I wanted.

Ever since I found out I was pregnant I started buying a pack of diapers a week and wipes. Some stores have sales like CVS so I would also buy the sale on diapers like spend 30 get 10 back on extra bucks with the diapers being 9.99 a piece. I am 30 weeks now and still feel like I don't have enough diapers. I know I will probably get a lot at my baby shower so not too stressed about that. I have also bought a couple of outfits but again waiting until after shower before I go buy more. I say but what you want and have fun. I don't see anything wrong with getting prepared especially when you never know what people are going to get you.

Depending on if your having a baby shower and if so what your asking for. With my first I waited until after my baby shower because I didn't want to buy things someone already bought. But afterwards I started buying. You're never going to have everything at all times cause they use so much. Mostly put money aside and then when you need something go into your stash

Ok thank you, I didn't think of all the little things, it's quite overwhelming how much you need to get and do before the baby's born

I say second trimester. The big things are easy to buy but its the little things I am having trouble with buying because it cost so much and I need bundles of it. Like socks, bids, mittens, tub, towels, hats, oneies, diapers, wipes. I started early but not early enough

I started buying things for baby a couple months before my due date. I definitely regret not starting sooner especially buying diapers.
