33 weeks, so not ready ):

All we have now is a crib and some small things like a bathtub, bottle warmer, and diaper caddy. My coworkers are planning a shower for us in a couple weeks and I'm so unbelievably grateful for them.  I'm not very talkative so I didn't expect anyone to notice me enough to want to throw one. But they are, I just don't have very many people to invite. My family is very long distant, and not very happy with my being pregnant at 19. Same with my boyfriends family. So with very few guests, what should we ask for? Just the most important things, maybe 20 people will come

Yeah we have a yard sale page here too, I love it! I bought my crib and boppy on there so far, it's just harder to find what I still need! I'll set up a registry at Wal-Mart since its cheap :) thanks ladies!

Depending on where you live also, do some research on places that help with baby stuff. Not sure if you have a Facebook but where I am there are yard sales and people are always giving away free baby stuff. Also you can talk to the fire department about a car seat

Don't let ur family make u feel bad about being 19 and pregnant. I'm 19 and pregnant with me 2nd one. Had my first at 17. Just focus on the necessities such as car seat and a few NB outfits not to many tho they grow fast. Best of luck girly (:

Im 37 weeks and just got the frib last week. Just focus on getting stuff for a newborn and work on everything else as you go. Remember all these so-called baby necessitie are a very recent mordern luxury. Humans have successfully raised babies for hundreds of thousands of years long before the invention of cribs, bottles and diapers.

& yes, you cannot go home without a car seat.. So make sure you get one of those.. I agree with the above comments.. Gift cards are always good, especially at Walmart since its pretty cheap there!!:)

Do a registry. Ask for diapers, wipes, baby shampoos, lotions, butt cream, most important things.. Maybe a few bottles, do you plan to breastfeed? With certain insurance plans you can get a breast pump for low cost or free.. & you're 19 its not like you're 15 having a baby.. So don't let your family or his family ruin any of your experiences.. I am 19 as well & 37 weeks 5 days.. Good luck to you :)

Your family is worried about the wrong thing. Thank God you aren't 16 and pregnant! You are over 18! First tell your family what you need . The most important things are your Car seat and bed. Your stroller is also important. Please have some underclothes and outfits for the baby including little hats and shoes. Make sure you don't roll over on your baby if you want your child to sleep with you. I know someone who rolled over on their child and he died. Please put him or her in a crib or basinet next to you at night. If your house is big, get a monitor or tell them you need one. Stock up on diapers, wipes and baby products. Stay away from perfumed products or products with lavender and other scents. These products will break the baby's skin out

I would do a baby registry at like walmart and just put the things you really need. You can always add gift cards and that will help with the bigger items. Most people buy diapers and cloths. I had way too many cloths and ended up returning a lot. You can only have so many new born and 0 to 3 month outfits. You will never go wrong with diapers either. I didn't expect anyone to do me one either but there are some planning me one as well.
