How do you know for sure your done having kids

We are due with baby #4 in April and have been talking about getting my tubes tied after this one but I'm not so sure I want to have that done.......how do you know your done having kiddos for sure or is it one of those things where if you question it then your not done.

Also, is it odd to feel like if I get my tubes tied then he should get fixed to.....I mean it's not right for myself to never have anymore when he still could right? Or am I just being over sensitive about it.

I think he should get a vasectomy and you should not get your tubes tied.  You're not sure and he is, that is enough of a reason.  It is a much simpler operation for him than for you.  Don't do it unless you are sure.  Life is uncertain, what if you were widowed and met someone new, for example?  A tubal ligation is very hard to reverse and iffy if someone tries to get pregnant after reversal.  It is only something to do when you totally know you are over having any more kids ever no matter what.
