I am that girl... I get my highs jumping out of air planes, off brideges, and into shark infested waters. I like fast motorcycles, rock climbing, cliff diving and anything else you can think of that's crazy, gets your blood pumping... And of course all of them are "no-nos" while growing our little nugget of love.

I have zero desire to risk my pregnancy just so I can get an adrenaline rush... But I'm wondering if anyone out there has similar interests and suggestions of what I CAN do.

I believe my childs health is impacted by my physical and mental health... I don't want my lack of being able to enjoy my usual hobbies to negatively effect my attitude or my child.

Thanks for any helpful feedback on a very odd question :)

As for people talking of the risk I think some people forget that is women are tough..... many women in NON WESTERN countries work back breaking jobs 12 hours per day and continue to do this up until they deliver... I'm sure your midwife has already told you if you were very active before pregnancy this does not need to stop whilst pregnant... of course I'm not suggesting kick boxing or extreme sports but remember you want to get through labour and to do this you need to be fit!

The women who make me laugh are the ones who won't even lift a bag whilst pregnant encase they do damage!

As female plumber I continued my extremely manual job until 29 weeks which the midwife said was fine

just do what you feel comfortable doing

Hey just wanted to say I'm exactly the same as you, other then  the shark infested waters haha that's actually my biggest fear although there was this one time in thailand. ... haha although that's a different story all together:)

I am now 35 weeks and although of course the high adrenaline stuff had to stop I continued with my love of exercise throughout my pregnancy.

I swapped netball and boxing for body balance, yoga and swimming:)

I still visit the gym 2-3 times per week, of course I've had to swap most of the equipment I used before for more appropriate equipment.

I am planning a natural homebirth and have been having hypnobirthing sessions so hopefully it will be a drug free labour, surly nothing will be as stimulating as this?

This is my first baby and we don't know what we are having, this will be the biggest thing in life I'd have experienced to date and I'm sure the best experience ever:)

I'm excited for the labour and I wish you luck with yours

I can totally understand what you mean. Before I had my first I was working at a horse ranch. So when I got pregnant I stopped riding altogether. And I felt so lost! But honestly it's only 9 months. And half if it you feel so heavy you dont feel like doing anything anyway! Some people will say you can keep doing things but i wouldn't.  There's too much of a risk. But when you are nearing the end you could plan a holiday a for after the baby is born so you can do all the things you wanted to do while u were pregnant!
