I created my own with washing soda, borax, and i used a little baby wash. My daughter was very sensitive so I'm caution with this one. Every child is different. I did use Dreft with my daughter at first and slowly changed later but she is 7 now so i dont recall everything. Try it until you notice something.
I used Dreft when the baby was really young and family detergents other times, the main thing I did was always rinsed them twice. If your washer has an "extra rinse" button, use it.
I agree. We use regular unscented Tide on all our clothes. As long as you avoid the scented or softeners it's fine. For baby's clothes I also cut the amount of detergent I use in half.
I never used those expensive baby detergents. We use Tide Free & Clear on all our laundry, including baby clothes and cloth diapers. Never had a sensitivity or a diaper rash so it worked just fine for us. I'd avoid anything with scents or softeners, they're more likely to provoke reactions.
