progesterone shot

I have been getting a progesterone shot since I was about three months pregnant.  And I have heard that this shot makes it harder to go in to labor. Is this true and what side affects has anyone else suffered from?

I'm 26 weeks pregnant with my second unfortunately the first one couldn't make it I went into labor at 22weeks so that's why I'm getting the shot every week. Started from 19weeks and stoping at week 36 the progesterone shot doesn't make it harder to go into labor it just helps make the womb stronger you'll go thru a normal pregnancy if you exercise and stay healthy you'll have your little one soon :)

I had it with both of my pregnancy and hasn't recieved any side affect.  The MD normally start giving you the shot around 17 to 18 weeks pregnant.
My first dose is October 28. I'll be 18 weeks and 4 days.
