This is my 4th, I was induced with both my first 2, my oldest, who's now 16, just was really taking his sweet little time,  I went in on a Mon for regular appt. And was 3 1/2 cm, they won't admit til you're 4 or more. They stripped my cervix to send me in labor but it didn't work,  I walk around for a week feeling fine,  went back that following Mon for my check up and was 7 cm, that's when I found out my labor contractions aren't the normal painful ones in the horror stories,  they just felt like heavy cramps to me. But being induced forces them to come more heavy and rapidly.  I had to opt for an epidural and was fine after that,  but I know that's not for everyone.  My daughter, who's 9, was induced 3 weeks early to prevent complications, she had tied her umbilical cord in a knot,  but I was a little more prepared so it wasn't as bad. My 3, a boy age 6, was a premie, at 7 mo 3 weeks, so I'm being monitored careful with this last one also a boy, but this office automatically schedules induction at 39wks. Not trying to scare you more, just saying it's not the greatest but it's becoming more and more common, just be prepared and decide now wither or not you want an epidural, if so, it does help a lot. But again research that too. In the end once you hold your beautiful baby all is forgotten and in my opinion complete worth going through
