Hello ladies I'm just about 35 weeks. I have had a tough pregnancy since day 1 I'm tiny and I'm so over the pregnancy part already. I lost my mucus plug about a month ago and I'm 2cm dilated. I wanna know what will help me to get labor started I just can't wait no more.  Is it safe? I get ultrasounds every month due to all the complications I had an baby is healthy an weight is above average. So please help is sex ok ? Haven't had it in over a month. Tmi sorry. Anyone went through an is going through a similar situation?

Hi there.  Let's remember that this is a support site and a safe place for women to ask questions of any sort.  Even if we don't approve of the question, let's make sure we answer in a way that is not making them feel judged.  Thank you

Please try to wait 2-4 more weeks. You have already come this far. I am 32 weeks pregnant and so over it. My pregnancy has been awful and I've been so sick. I'm just ready for it to be over with too. However, I do not want my baby girl coming any sooner than 39 weeks. I want a healthy baby that gets to go home with me when the doc releases me from the hospital. I don't wanna have to make trips every day to the NICU to see my daughter. And making sure she is as comfortable as possible coming into this big scary world is so important. Please try to see it the way I do. You will be so thankful you did.

They might seem like rude comments to you, but they were made out of concern...it wouldn't be responsible to try to go into labor at 35 weeks...also, after all this time waiting...it is only two more weeks. I am sorry you are miserable,  but you are almost there and it will be worthy

I'm 39 weeks - my pregnancy has been hellacious and trying as well and at 35 weeks, I was more than happy to my baby out of me, also. But as uncomfortable as what it is and as much as you hurt now, please remember that it is almost over. Your baby still needs your body and nutrients yet, at least until 37 weeks when babies are considered full term. I've had to walk with a cane during my last two months of pregnancy due to my baby being on my sciatic nerve and pain in my hips and joints; my feet have resembled that of a baby elephants since about 15 weeks, but I've been adamant to keep him in there as close to 40 weeks as what I can. I was a Preemie at 33 weeks, spent time in the NICU, my eye muscles were not fully developed to support themselves so they kept rolling in the back of my head, and I was born with hip dysplasia. There's a lot of things that are finishing up development during those last few weeks, so it really is crucial despite on being a few more weeks. You've got at minimum two weeks to go, Mama. As hard as it is, you've got this. :) Keep yourself busy and relax, it'll be here before you know it.

Concern I get that but when someone tells me put my child first. I always have an always will I have been pregnant before u know how it is went full term it was a question I asked because I wanted info on it not to be insulted on putting my child first. I respect the concern an your answer but what I don't like is someone telling me basically I don't put my child first when I asked a question an wanted opinions. This is a network were u come to feel an wanna talk to other women about your problems but clearly ppl are so quick to Judge.

Exactly....it is out of concern.  2 more stinking weeks to ensure the healthiest baby possible. We are all uncomfortable and miserable the last month or so. Some of us even go over our due dates. My daughter wasn't born til 5 days after her due date. It was worth it though because I knew I didn't have to worry about having a preemie and I knew my body was made for it even if it felt like it wasnt at the moment. Did you know any baby non earlier than their due date automatically are at a higher rate for SIDS? Why would you even chance it?

I agree with maw although they are now finding you're not really full term til 39 weeks.  They found brain function growth during the 38th week. Pregnancy is the biggest test of patience we have in our life. If it was easy, it wouldn't be so special.  So while I don't mean to be rude, but suck it up buttercup. Putting your child first is what motherhood is all about.

Your baby is not full term, would be considered a preemie, and could end up in the nicu. Pregnancy isn't supposed to be easy. It's tough on the body and the mind. I'm sorry to say but trying to self induce this early because you don't feel like continuing is not a good idea and I don't think your doctor would like it either. There's a reason why pregnancy is supposed to last 37-40 weeks. Your baby is still developing at 35 weeks.

Plus, you can try all the self inducing methods you want, but unless your body is ready, nothing will work. You should try to stick it out for at least two more weeks. Sorry to sound harsh about all of this, but it's just my opinion.

35 weeks is too early unfortunately. Not trying to lecture you just looking out for you. 37 weeks is full term so try to wait until then at least. My 2nd son was born at 36 weeks and he had a little trouble breathing at first. Not only that but I was not sucessful in breastfeeding him due to him being preemie and having latch issues. He was 8 lbs but still considered preterm due to his development. At 37 weeks try sex, walking lots, squats, rasperry leaf tea, and stair climbing. All of those will help to soften your cervix right up. Good luck
