Well first of all, relax. You don't even know yet if this will be a side effect. Honestly, I'm not sure what your doc is referring to; I was on Zoloft 15yrs. Ago when I was pregnant and Insomia was not a side effect at all, and I've never heard of any of my  acquaintances who take it complain of insomnia either. My side effects were low libido, weight gain, decreased appetite, and apathy, but nothing I couldn't manage. Take care.

I used to take 200 mg before becoming pregnant for a little more than a year.. i know pregnancy makes things a lot different but while i was taking it my dr suggested i take it right when i wake up to avoid the insomnia.. turns out Zoloft made me sleep so i took it at night instead.. play around with the time of day you take it and it should all come together. Good luck..that medication was great to me.
