Hiya i was worried about this as my sister in law recently had to get rid of her pooch due to not settling when they bought the baby home he would constantly bark when baby was crying and if the mother had hold of baby the dog would jump up her. I have a bull dog shes dead good with my niece and nephew but i read up that if you start putting things out before your due to get the dogs used to new things bit by bit it helps so say put the moses basket in the livingroom for a bit, it also says take the pram out with you when taking the dog for a walk so everythings not one huge change to the dog xx

I have two dogs too :-) My Great Dane/Boxer mix I'm not worried about because he has been through this already. It's my German Shep/Boxer mix that I'm worried  about. She is still a puppy and super hyper and does all that ridiculous puppy stuff still lol

I have a pitbull and she is such a sweetheart. She just has been very protective over me but she is interested in everything I buy for the baby and even licks my tummy! She has also been like glue with me around the house. Lol I read to let them smell something that the baby had worn first and then to introduce them. If you raised them right, you will be just fine! :)

I have a german shepard and a yorkie they have both been around young children and are great with them I know I won't have to worry about them.. the hair gets me nervous too though just have to try to vacuum or sweep it up as much as you can. I have a irobot roomba vacuum it works great and its pretty quiet and it goes by itself so less work for you.

Thank you ladies.... I am just worried because I have a husky puppy and she's way too hiper and stubborn. her hair is all over the place and I don't want our baby to have any allergy problems because of it... and I also have a 4 year old pit bull but he is a sweet heart I am so not worried about him... just the husky lol

I have four and I'm freaking out. I was told to take a blanket and bring it back with the babys smell and let them have it. I'm planning in introducing them and hopefully it will be ok. My littlest is the one that I'm more concerned about. She's so jealous and doesn't like new people. Can only hope for the best. Good luck !

Dogs are just like furry children. If you are a good owner and have taught them well they'll be fine. I have 3 dogs from a boxer border collie and a Chihuahua. I also have a cat.

I have one dog, and I have some concerns but he's been around children/toddlers a few times and did great. Not sure how he will be with a new born, but since getting pregnant he's become alot more protective of me and always lays his head on my stomach or near it now that it's too big lol
