Okay. I will tell them I am pregnant and see where it goes. It is normally not very full of people or anything so hopefully they are willing to work with me and not against me.
Thank you!
Depends on the airport. If you are traveling with little kids a lot of airports will send your whole family through the old metal detector and you bypass the new machine. Other airports are stricter and make you go through the new machine. I flew at 19 weeks wasn't showing much yet and I'm pretty sure they didn't believe me when I said I was pregnant and could I not go through the new machine, they said it is safe but where not willing to provide data to back up their claim. In the end I went through the stupid thing but was not thrilled about it. On the return trip they where much more understanding, and let me go through the old metal detector but they also swabed my hands for residue as an extra precaution.
Tell them you are pregnant. You'll have to get the pat down, instead.
