only 31 weeks and 4days. (venting)

Im so ready to have these babies!!!! Work is so hard. Working 8 hours makes my feet swell and starts minor contractions. Not being able to sit or get a break for 8hrs. Sometimes not being able to even eat a snack. Its just so hard. And I know other pregnant moms have harder jobs but im not sure if i can do this much longer. Im carrying twins and we cant afford for me to leave work yet. I just dont know how im gonna make it another 5weeks and 3days!

Ya I agree there are laws about this and u r entitled to a break every so often. I live in Canada but I am sure that if u r in the states they have laws as well. Definitely get a Dr s note bc he has to abide by it. Check your Labour laws bc I believe this is illegal. Whatever job u have is not worth it and u should look for another when u r on mat leave. That is crazy.
Good luck

You should look up the laws associated with pregnancy.  As far as I know, an employee should be allowed a break every 2 to 2 & 1/2 hours.  Your dr. Might be able to write you a dr. Note to allow you to sit or take a break, if your boss isn't caring enough to allow it anyways.  I don't know what kind of jobs you ladies have, but I had to share this info if you didn't know. I managed a restaurant in a casino and we had to allow breaks unless business was so fast paced we literally couldn't stop and in that case I made my management team and myself take over the employees position long enough for the employee to go smoke, bathroom break, or eat a snack and sit down (15 min)  Also, if a dr. Sent a note about light duty or anything else I had to follow it based on labor employee laws.  Hope this helps.

I feel the same way! I'm 34 weeks and I'm on my feet for about 9 hours a day. I get one 30 minute break and my feet and ankles are consistently swollen and the pressure of the baby causes all types of pain from standing for so long. But just hang on there. It's almost over. Just put your feet up at the end of your work day for about an hour or two. It should help!
