Has Amazon ruined the name "Alexa"?

We're expecting a baby girl in December and both love the name Alexa Marie. I've always loved the name but my only hangup with it is that the Amazon Echo voice is called Alexa. Are we setting our little one up for torment???

Yes, I agree, it's a pretty name.  A competitor will come along and there will be something else to replace Alexa soon.  I wouldn't let that stop me.  One thing I did check was how common a name was with other moms.  I didn't want my kids going to school with lots of other kids of the same name---  I had that growing up and had to use my middle initial or middle name always in school as I had a common maiden name as well.  I like traditional but not names everyone has.  I don't know any alexa's.  It's definitely a pretty name.
