When should I get a scan?

I am 5 weeks pregnant, and have had 1 miscarriage and an ectopic resulting in removal of one tube. I'm just wondering when I should go for a scan? I don't wanna go too early because I know you won't be able to see much in the first few weeks but I'm obviously worried in case it's another ectopic.

Have your doctor do hcg level testing. Every 3 days get blood work to see if the hcg levels are going up and by 7 weeks get an ultrasound done.

Thanks!
I'm going to my GP again in a few days so will get my bloods done again. Fingers crossed all will go okay. I'm just worried because of everything that's happened before.

I had an ectopic pregnancy 4 years ago and so 2 years ago I end up having my second kid and when I first found out I was pregnant with my second kid I schedule a doctor's  appointment right then and there I did not care if I was a day pregnant 2 days pregnant two week 3 weeks I just needed to know and so I'm currently pregnant now with my third and soon as I found out I went to the emergency to see if they could tell me anything of course the baby was too small but with my OBGYN they was taking blood samples so I had like three blood samples once a week for like three weeks and then my hcg  levels went up and so then after I had my blood samples that told me everything would be okay bit like a week after then I was having cramping pain so I went to the eremgency   room the they did an ultrasound and everything the baby was in the right place so I felt better about that but you could never be too sure so if you feel like you need to go to the doctors just go!!! I am 6 weeks with my 3rd I'm so happy!!!

The last time I was pregnant with the ectopic pregnancy I made the appointment myself in an early pregnancy clinic when I started to bleed.

Pretty sure your doctor will be the one to schedule your ultrasound.
