I was told no getting tattoos while pregnant why not? And what if it's like on my shoulder or leg not anywhere near my stomach or baby?

Most piercings are fine as long as everything is clean. Same concern with catching an Infection, virus or disease but no other risk factors.

I got one on my bday and 2 days later found out i was almost 2 months pregnant. No harm was done, no infection, no extra bleeding getting tattoo. But; knowing youre pregnant you shouldn't get one just to be safe. Every woman and every pregnancy is different. What doesn't hurt one may hurt another. plus everything stretches during pregnancy. You wouldn't want to get a tattoo on stretched skin then it shrink and look silly post-pregnancy.

Is it OK to get a piercing

Its definitely because of the risk of infection as well as the risk of miscarriage due to increased blood pressure/ adrenaline.  I used to work full time in the industry.  Its not worth the risk and no reputable artist would tattoo you. Good luck♡♡

Besides the above mentioned,  I think it's also a bleeding factor.  Your body has a higher blood volume now and needs to keep it all for delivery and to keep the baby nourished as it grows. The American Red Cross will not allow you to give blood either. It's not just about disease.

She wasn't being rude about it so why should you be? She just stated the way she felt. She didn't put the other woman down.

Besides the risk of infection the adrenaline could cause early labor or miscarriage is my understanding.

Yeah tattoo artists won't do it. Infection chance is too high and risky for your baby. Best just to wait hun. I am getting mine finished after he's born

I agree with these ladies, one of my friends is a tattoo artist...he won't tattoos on pregnant women due to the above stated reasons. Any reputable tattoo artist will tell you to wait until after you have delivered.

Risk of disease or infection. Plus tats weaken immune system which is already compromised bc youre pregnant
