I stopped because of the sick feeling it gave me. But I agree with badpad32. It's all mind over matter

I think the best way to quit is to think about the baby's health I did with both my boys which was 6 and 5 years ago

So I have a question...I know I shouldn't, but I currently smoke and I'm a little over 15 weeks....do any of you mommas who smoke know a good way to quit? I'm really wanting to quit before the baby comes.

I used to smoke before both my last 2 pregnancies. With my son last year it took 2 days to quit cold turkey. Woth my daughter this time (I'm 37.3 now) it took 2 weeks to quit cold turkey. The way I look at it, these kids didn't chose to be born so to subject them to smoke isn't fair of me, in fact it's selfish. Now I do realize not everyone is able to stop the way I did, but there are plenty of resources through the hospitals and Dr offices. To me, it's mind over matter, I've always been the type to do something because I wanted to, not because I was told to. I wish u luck and I really hope u can stop for the baby. Use the resources available. Plus you'll feel so much better. Best of luck!
