Is WIC worth it?

OK so I went online and got the general idea of what WIC is. But is it worth it? Did it help you? How much so? Are the benefits different for each person or no? Just curious

Also some wic offices have free breastfeeding pumps to use. They also provide people to help you breastfeed if you are having trouble. I saved over $50 in one month on groceries and I didn't even get all of the items on the list. Plus after the baby is born if you will get a larger food allowance.

They help provide nutritious foods while pregnant, formula for the baby or a breastfeeding package if you choose to breastfeed your baby and the child will continue to receive nutritious foods until age 5...certainly worth it and you may qualify for this even if you don't for other services WIC is a great program!!

I agree the milk and formula are very helpful. They do bread and cheese for me too which is great because my son loves grilled cheeses. And you will probably end up with a lifetime supply of peanut butter but thats great for when your baby is older and only eats pb n j's :)

Wic is amazing to have. It helps alot. They give u a card to use for certain foods at the store, but all healthy things of course. And after the baby is born u get formula off of wic also!

I started getting it at 10 weeks. They gave me about 4 gallons of milk, 3 boxes of cereal, two jars of peanut butter, 2 things of juice, and $10 in fruits and veggies every month. When the baby is born, they'll give formula. Which is super expensive. I went in for a 15 min appointment and walked out with checks for 3 months. I'd say it is worth it.

You're able to get healthy food for you and your baby when they get older. Which can get expensive.

I have WIC and its really helpful. Right now I have it and they give me cupons for food, and after the baby is born they will start to give me cupons for the soy milk. I say its really worth it. My mom also had it, i say the benefits are the same.
