Yes we spend a few extra days in the hospital with my daughter because she was. Mine was caused because of the delay in the cord clamping. She had a back up of red blood cells. She pooped a few times and spent some time in the sun. In a week she was fine. Her counts also got pretty high.
My daughter had it so bad she had to be hospitalized at 4 days old. She received light therapy.

My sister was just saying my nephew had a little bit and his doctor told her. To put him in a bouncer in front of the sun for about 10 minutes to help soak it up!
My oldest daughter who just turned 3yrs old today had it real bad and was on the blanket 4 about 4 or 5 days after she came home. Her levels had gotten. Up to 19 and was causing the white n her eyes to turn yellow. But after the blanket 4 a few days she was good to go. Has been very healthy since then. I know it's hard watching them lay there like that but stay positive.
My nephew had the blanket and he had a home jaundice light too. He was fine after a week or so. Try not to worry. Its really common. Both my boys had a little but i just had to put them in the sun for a few days.
My youngest had jaundice, he didn't need the blanket. I found out that being in labor too long can cause it. I was having contractions for about 72 hrs before I went in, and only went in because I was scheduled for a c-section, didn't think I was having strong or constant contractions to go in before that.
My son was jaundice and we had to put him in the son three times a day for a cpl days and he was fine:) its totally normal and nothing to worry abt!
My little one was jaundice got a while. She was born very premature but I'm told it's REALLY common even for full term babies. Also, it's not uncommon for them to get better then relapse into jaundice again.
She'll be fine, be patient.
