is tea in general had to drink during pregnancy or is it just something people say ? what does it do to the baby ? I'm a HUGE tea drinker .
Ok thanks ladies. I just wasn't sure if it was an actual thing doctors recommend. So much has changed since I had my son 7 years ago and I'm reading all these new things to do. It gets confusing lol.
See, but I don't think you can say for sure if those things helped. I have a small frame, my first child was a nine pound baby. I never used EPO or drank raspberry leaf tea during my pregnancy with him, and didn't tear at all either. I know women with wider hips than me who used all those things, had six pound or seven pound babies, and had serious tears or episiotomies. Every birth is different. It probably can't hurt, but I don't take anecdotal stories as evidence.
I drank the tea and also did the evening prim rose pills. They, actually made my son's delivery easier. I didn't tear at all while delivering him. And he was a large baby.
It's supposed to tone and strengthen the uterus to make pushing easier. I don't know if it's been scientifically proven to have the desired effect. It's a suggestion that's been around for a long long time, don't know how well it really works, but it tastes good...
