Accounting would probably require a full degree, which means general education classes like English, math, history, science, etc. I believe medical billing can be a diploma program, so you just take classes for the job, without all the extras.

Medical billing? Accounting? Either of those should have online programs.

I teach both online classes and in person classes, and I can tell you that online classes are much harder. Also, it's not a good idea to just enroll in an online program for something if you're not sure what you want to do. My suggestion is to look into enrolling in just a couple online classes through your local community college. Start with the ones everyone has to take and see if there's anything that you enjoy. Don't let them rope you into a full program, because you may end up wasting both time and money if you don't end up liking it.

A lot of the better programs where you're more likely to actually get a job from require at least a little bit in person, because they need hands-on training. Even if you find a program that will do online only, many employers will not hire you from all-online because you are missing that experience. Some programs that should be OK online only: paralegal, psychology, business, computer science and information technology. Hope that helps you get started.

No I barley graduated high school and I only did because I knew I had to, I had no support and I just hated it. I tried Beauty school and lwfy because they put me in a class room environment And again I don't want that. I just don't know what to look into when I do online schooling

The thing too is that in high school, you are like "what is the point of this" verses when you are doing something that leads to a job it is for a great purpose that will benefit you.  You KNOW what is at the end . . . the job and the income you want.  That can be pretty powerful in terms of making it through and doing it.  BUT, I will say that I am always amazed at what they offer online now.  So many things you used to have to be in a classroom for, now you don't.  So, do the same process of thinking about what kind of job you wan to have and then figure out how much of it you can do online to get the schooling for it.  good luck

Have you tried it recently? I went back to college in my late 20's having finished a bachelor's at 21 and it was vastly different  (and so much better) because I was focused and motivated the second time around.

That's the thing I don't want to be in any class room environment. My parents ruined the joy of school for me and I don't think it will ever come back. So I want to do online only

This is where my practical side comes into play.  If you need to earn a living, look at what you can do to make a good income.  Men---  great jobs are plumber, electrician, HVAC, welding . . .   but these are not online courses.  He'd have to go to trade school and then be an apprentice. But the income can be fantastic.  Women CAN do these things too by the way.

For women, you could go into the medical field in some capacity. Things like nursing assistant (have to go to regular school initially but then can get bachelors eventually online), phlebotomy (blood draw), ultrasound tech, dental hygienist, medical record recording, medical receptionist  . . .  all can pay decent.

Office staff work, you could take book keeping classes, computer classes, etc.

If you like law, you could look into paralegal. They make great money.

You could take cooking classes and be a chef.

The skies the limit.  I am not sure what all can be taken online but think about what you want to do that provides income and piece it together.

good luck

In my experience, they require a lot more work. Here in online classes theta all the reading and writing of a regular class and then some,  plus all these mandatory discussions in chat rooms etc. Not that you shouldn't do it,  but if it's seeming really hard,  don't get discouraged. Its because they are hard

Depends on what you want to go into. You can start with your generals. Most colleges offer quite a few online classes.
