Second baby boy name

Our first child's name is Edward. We like the name very much, and would like to match it with a name that is as nice for our upcoming second boy.

We live in Holland and have family in Italy. We're looking for something international (English)  that can be pronounced by both Italian and Dutch communities (Arthur and Charles have no-go sounds for example). We like the idea of royal names or names with a historical perspective.

We came up with George and Louis. But we're still not convinced. Could you please help us?

Edgar is indeed nice. But I have noticed that, although I don't care about royal people, I like kings' names.

I really love the name Louis/Lewis though!

We love Louis too. I'd like to spell it the French way and pronounce it the English way. Seen the short geographical distance from France, though, everyone would pronounce that the French way. I hate it that my child must spend his whole life correcting people's pronunciation.

From that point of view, George would be easier. But we probably like Louis better. Or Lewis. Isn't Lewis also a common last name, though?
@coas I guess it depends where you're from. I'm from Australia and don't come across the name Lewis as a surname or much as a first name either. But I absolutely adore the name. If I saw the name Louis, I personally would question how its pronounced, whether it be "loo-ee" or "lew-is"... But again, depends on where you're from and what the normal is there :)

George sounds good. What about William, Alexander, Victor, Dean or Simon.. I do not know about how they would sound but these are good strong names.

Thanks! Victor (or Vince) was in my husband's mind. I love William!! But my husband believes that the Dutch version Willem is too inflated here.
