About 8 weeks or so with my first! I was one of the unfortunate ones who bled for 4 weeks straight,  stopped for a few days then started for another 2 weeks so I wanted to wait til I was sure I'd stopped. The stitches dissolved and pain went long before this it was just the bleeding that stopped me. And to be honest, I was so tired breastfeeding every hour day and night I just wasn't feeling it for a while lol. As others have said, Doctors do recommend at least 6 weeks though :)

It all depends on your comfortability . Doctors say 6 weeks for healing purposes, and to be honest it seemed like the appropriate amount of time. Especially depending on your healing situation, I had vaginal stitches and wasn't into the thought of trying til they dissolved and bleeding stopped. About 6 weeks.

Lol, my hubby said 6 months. I told him that's tooo long. His culture pampers the mom until she is strong again so that's why the gap is big. I told him i will be strong before 6 months lol.

I waited about 8weeks, bled for 6 and just too nervous (? Hard to explain haha) to do it again. Do it when you're ready, my midwives told me to have go back to doctor after I had sex so I could tell him of any pain or anything.

they recommend that so that your body can properly heal.  I would definitely wait until a doctor gives you the green light. (there are other ways to pleasure yourself and your partner for that six weeks . . .  and frankly, what was sexy to me during that time was my husband taking his turn to hold the baby. LOL)   good luck

Doctors recommend waiting the full 6 weeks afterwards due to possibly getting pregnant again and that you still need to heal but I honestly didn't wait the full 6 weeks.
