You need to ask your doctor what are the chances of your going into preterm labor again. My doctor completes biweekly scans of my cervix. He also has a plan if my cervix begins to dilate early to put in stitches to prevent me from labor. My doctor is a bit of a pitbull and watches me very closely. You need to ask your doctor what the plan will be if you go into labor early especially if the baby isn't ready.
My lil girl was 6 weeks early. So im really neevous because my cervix is short. Does it mean ill have an early baby again?
So basically a short cervix can lead to preterm labor. My doctor currently checks my cervix biweekly to make sure it is measuring long and not opening. I am also being given progestrone injections on a weekly basis, before I was taking pills. The precautions are because 13 years ago, I went through a preterm labor during my 21 week and lost my baby boy. The progestrone has been proven to lower your risk of preterm labor. The scan showing you at measuring 29 weeks is the gestational age of your baby, I believe.
