Ultrasounds

I am six weeks pregnant when I had an ultrasound(vaginal) last week all they could see was a sac and yolk. I'm really concerned they said it may still be too early. Does anyone know when the embryo shows up?

I found out i was pregnant with twins at five weeks. They saw two sacs and my hormone levels were super high.

I think a number of things can be going on. I went at 6 weeks with my first pregnancy, they were only able to See the sac. Measured about 6 weeks, then asked me to come back at 8 to see something more clearly. When I went back at 8 weeks, they told me my sac was misshapen and I was going to have a miscarriage. And I did. But before they concluded that, they asked if I were sure about how long I had been pregnant. so in your situation, you could be less than 6 weeks? Maybe? Then with this pregnancy, I went in at 7 weeks for an ultrasound because I thought I was going to have another miscarriage. And via transvaginal u/s, I saw the embryo with a clear heartbeat. I think it really depends on the person And their pregnancy. Every pregnancy is different...I'd say, the best thing to do is to track your hormone levels if they suspect anything negative. But as far as the u/s goes, it's never a sure thing until the baby is a bit bigger. Hopefully your next u/s will be more clear.
