Sleeping help

im 25 weeks 6 days. I really try my hardest to sleep on my left side all the time but during the night it gets uncomfortable and I try to sleep on my right side but that's even worse and I end up on my back and I know they say not to! This is my 2nd but I just wondering if anyone had any tips that help them sleep better or make sure you stay on your side?

I have a inclined pillow that is at a 30 degree angle that was purchased at medical supply store, it can also be made from egg crate and a standard size pillow it's a big help. And I sleep with a medium size plush stuffed dog between my legs because sleeping on your sides puts compression on the side your sleeping on and it strains your lower back and hip muscles. And I have bad back from being rolled on by a horse when I was 16.  Its completely okay to use heating pads to relax the muscles on a low setting and not for prolonged period of time.

So I will be 22 weeks in 3 days with second pregnancy, and I  can totally relate eith yall ladies, but as far as I'm concerned sleeping on your back specially the further yoou are in pregnancy obviously the heavier you will be or at least ur little bundle of joy, including the water weight, the bag n placenta that keeps getting heavier until it is time, the problem is that all that weight is putting extra pressure on your organsand it could damage them since they are not made to hold on so much weight right on top especially for all those hours you spend sleeping!!!

Its bad to sleep flat on your back because the weight of your uterus and the baby constricts a major vein and you don't get sufficient oxygen and blood flow.

I sleep with a pillow under my belly to support it but I feel like body pillows are annoying and in the way lol but if I sleep on my back and a little on my side it's not so bad. I just prefer my back than side!!

if your  still comfortable  on your back and sleeping threw the night that way i think thats more important. but speak to your dr about your concerns...i think  its one of those things they like to over emphasizes the importance  of like no caffeine. im 35 wks and was comfortable  on my back till about 26 weeks. after that i have used a body pillow and i also place a pillow under my belly  so that if i turn in the night from one side to the other my belly  is supported and since doing that ive noticed a decrease  in my hip discomfort.
