So overwhelmed buying maternity clothes. Any tips?

Been trying to look for shorts, leggings, jeans anything for maternity and its overwhelming. Im only 12 weeks prego, showing and who knows how big am I going to get. More concerned of the sides than the front. Plus the whole going one size up isnt helping. I'm shopping at stores such as Ross, Marshalls, Target etc since maternity stores are more expensive.

I just want to stop looking and leave. But then again only thing that fits me is one leggings & all sweats. Classy huh? Lol So I need to buy clothes.

Any tips?

Old navy has some cute clothes online. And if they dont fit you can return them in store. I never had to go a size up either. I just bought what I'd normally wear and they've lasted well. I'm 39 weeks now.

Try online shopping via local trading sites like Kijiji and community sharing groups on Facebook. Most women get rid of lots of maternity clothes for great prices as we onlybwear them for so long. I bought 9 pairs of comfy business pants and jeans for $40. Lightly used but basically new for 1/9th the price. Worth a shot !

What I do is use the pants I already have go get some maternity pants from the thrift store and cut the stretchy top off and sow it to my pants, shorts, capris.... that way they fit around my body the right way and I have the stretchy top for my belly! As for shirts you can just go up a size or 2 in regular shirts and buy the stretchy shirts so they fit snug to show off your bump!! It's a little work for the pants but it's so much cheaper and fit much better!

I just went yesterday I go to thrift stores since you won't be wearing this stuff forever and its cheaper since they are second hand stuff...you are going to be pregnant in summer so my suggestion to be cool and comfortable try finding long summer dresses..when tummy gets bigger they will come up some so they won't be as long anymore and so Mich more comfortable then having stuff on your stomach

I got really lucky with consignment sales and stores but honestly I'm 35 weeks and been wearing the same stuff for weeks. Just more laundry to do more often. Lol
