FTM and 38 weeks

I have so many questions, I dont even know where to start! How many newborn clothes and diapers should I have? And what are receiving blankets used for?

I loaded up with my first baby and it was a mistake. I ended up needing newborn diapers instead of size 1. I would sugguest buying a case or two of size 1 and take it from there. The hospital will send you home with a few days supply of what you need. TAKE EVERYTHING they offer. Receiving blankets are great for swaddling. They are lightweight and don't overheat the little ones. I wouldn't load up on newborn clothes. They only last a few weeks if your baby grows normally. I would suggest 0-3 month clothes and limit what you buy. I used maybe a dozen outfits over the first month. They grow so fast that if you have too many you probably won't use them all. Hope that helps. Good luck!
