To much

So I was wondering if going to the dang doctor every single month is really necessary? I know my baby is already healthy and I just feel its wasting my time. Does anyone not see there doctor every month? Or is this every dang doctor?!

Every Dr is in the same schedule you will go from seeing them every month to every two weeks to every week. Yes it is necessary. Its good that your baby is healthy but, they do watch for things like pre clampsia, protein in your urin, heartbeat of your baby, and if you are growing healthy. Its good to catch things early if they did happen to pop up.

Things can change from one visit to the next. I used to go once a month until my 6 month appointment when they found out my cervix had shortened and ended up in the hospital for monitoring. Since then I have to go every week and sometimes twice a week. Honestly i look forward to going because it reassures me that everything is still ok. better to be safe than sorry.

Thank you ladies! I just get so angry haha. I hate having to drive so far just to hear the heart beat for a few seconds and my appointment is over. They won't even tell me the sex of the baby until I'm 20 weeks. My cousins told me to just go to fetal photo any suggestions on them? Thank you again haha

I LOVE going to the doctor to see my baby. I love seeing her or him in there. Why wouldn't you want to know if everything is okay? Why would seeing if your baby is okay be a waste of your time?? Or even seeing if you yourself is okay? Idk.. this post just kinda pissed me off.

I already know my baby is fine. I know I am fine, Well because I know my body. Haha be pissed off all you want all us moms are different. I can't believe I can't ask a simple question without a negative comment like yours. Its a waste of time heating a heart beat for just a few seconds miles away from me and just to sent home. Sounds like a waste of gas so a waste of money. Which I could be saving for the baby in the first place.

Yes the snow is aweful! I live in Utah and I'm glad that we haven't had snow storms this year. If that were the case I wouldn't even drive in that crazy weather haha.

Not try to sound like i have a negative comment but its always worth it to go to the dr just because your body doesn't mean that your baby is always fine you lucky that your healthy some of us mom to be get scared to death because they have been told that there baby heart could stop at anytime or that just because they got threw there first trimester doesn't mean that they still might not get a good out come try going to 3 different dr everyweek for 40+ weeks and having someone say that they cant stand going to the dr on time a month be happy its only that be happy your baby abd your self are healthy

i think its good to go to the doctor often! no offense but if something was to happen to your baby and you didn't go to doctors to get check because you go to often its kinda selfish.  I know go every two weeks! it can be a little lazy to go, but because my appointments only last about 15 minutes each. but it's worth it because I get to hear my baby's heartbeat and I know he's OK

People are so negitive on here. It was a simple question. Doesn't make me selfish. I'm my own person. All I was asking for was simple. You guys all stress way to much maybe that's why your not getting good out comes. Be positive and you will get positive results. Your body was made to have a baby and your body is made to have it all natural. Yet I know most won't be. I don't judge your lifestyle so don't judge mine. Thanks for all the negitivity would of thought more coming from woman who are all pregnant. We all need to stick together. Not argue. Holyshit....

I agree with all the ladies. It may feel like a waste of time or too bad out to drive to a Dr appt but it's better safe than sorry and hearing that heartbeat seems much worth it to me plus you get a chance to ask questions and take any necessary tests. Every mother to be is different and maybe you don't feel a bond with your unborn baby yet but since your not a Dr you may know your body in some way but you can't truly know if the baby is healthy from one week to the next. The risks of not going to be evaluated outweighs the option of not going to the Dr at all.

My first pregnancy I had a miscarriage, it hurt and was heartbreaking. This is my second pregnancy and I love going to the doctor. I love to hear his heart beating, it's reassuring. I agree, you need to stay positive its healthier than worrying. Trust your Doctor, he/she wants the best for you and your baby. Good luck everyone and best wishes :)

You should have known the outcome of this! Maybe you should have said it differently or something or maybe not at all. Yes we are all stressed out && do not feel like doing anything but no matter what we will always want to see if everything is okay. Women in general stress out too much about anything & it is very comforting when we know everything is okay.

Stress isnt the only reason unwated things happen during pregnancy, you can be the healthiest most laid back person on earth and bad things can happen. I would never make any comments about a young woman who is pregnant, #1 ive been there and #2 weare all having children here, what you pick on now might come back to you later in life.

You sad sad little girl. I bet your not even pregnant. You know you don't have a house or a man or a baby with that sad attitude. And its sad if you are pregnant because your baby will come out with a bad attitude as well we can all tell you're not pregnant so whatever so keep being the little girl that you are and keep your legs closed stay school in might be a little bit better for you. you might actually learn something if your legs wernt  always  open. I love good karma thank you!
