I breastfeed my daughter for 2 1/2yrs. I had no problems.  I plan to breastfeed my 2nd child. First couple of weeks are hardest. But you have to give it a chance.

I plan to breast feed. I've heard to give it a month and the pain will go away, but to stick with it.

Omg I loved breast feeding. It was so bonding. I Brest fed for a full year and I hated stopping. But I didn't want to go past a year.
Make sure you leave a little milk on your nipple to prevent chapping or drying nipples

With my 1st, I think she had tro7ubke latching and it hurt so bad I was in tears and she was always crying from being hungry. So in a moment of weakness, I gave her formula and just kept going with it. She was fine in hospital, but as soon as we got home it just went downhill.
I look back and I am disappointed that I gave up so easily, I didn't try soothing my nipples or applying any creams.
this time I have prepared myself with a pump in case this baby has trouble latching, and will also be purchasing soothing ointments in case of pain.
it shoukd only be painful/uncomfortable in the first week or 2, but never to the point of excruciating pain like I had. That means baby is probably not latching correctly.

If it is painful then you are doing something wrong and should see a lactation consultant. I breast fed my first son for 3 months and it hurt the first time he latched on so I met with the lactation consultant and then it never hurt again. I plan on breast feeding my second son as well. I had to stop at 3 months with my first due to medical reasons.

It is very painful but you get past the pain and nipples harden/toughen and it's a breeze from there. Just stick with it and work through any discomfort. It's worth it in the end for both you and baby. And in the beginning don't think you are doing it wrong because it's painful it's painful no matter what until your nipples adjust stay positive and Goodluck xx

I've done it with both of my children. They latched on at the hospital but when I returned Home I used the pump. I plan for this baby to go as long as possible since the law has changed in my state I can pump at work.

My mum breast fed me for 2 weeks and she was in tears by the end of the 2nd week as it was getting too sore and bleeding and yes she was doing it right she also gave up after 2 weeks as u was constantly crying to be fed so wasn't get enough milk but as soon as I went on the bottle I was full and slept for hours but I just think everyone is different. I plan on breastfeeding my baby but if it gets painful or if I feel its not getting enough food then I will switch to the bottle").

I was also told it only hurts if u do it wrong. Make sure you speak to your health provider as soon as u want to feed. Midwives will show u how!
