MandiGrace you can still go back and finish, you right not to put too much pressure on yourself. Afffy You have a good plan I know it's stressful not being able to take off but you will be able to do it
I feel like my classes will help me focus on other stuff and keep my mind off of pregnancy or else I would worry too much.. the whole of my cohort is yet to find out and all my professors too, but till now, I've had good response, I'm a bit more confident now then I was earlier.. I'll be due first week of May I think and so I'll be missing last two weeks of school next semester.. but I'm assuming I'll be fine as long as I turn in all my stuff before that..
The worst part for me is that I'm an international student on scholarship, I can't take the semester off or get incomplete In any of my classes.. so I'm not even thinking about that.. being away from home will be tough, but my husband is very supportive and I have some good ppl around me..
I'm sure you'll be fine and ppl around you will be thrilled about your baby.. but don't stress yourself out.. I'm gonna cut down to just 3 classes next semester and nothing else.. I'm doing lots more now though.. but it's very early and I need to stay busy..
Good luck and keep in touch
You absolutely can do it. Especially if you're having an easy or "normal" pregnancy. Listen to your body though and don't strain yourself. Unfortunately, I had to postpone law school. I'm having a rather difficult time and have been hospitalized twice for hyperemesis gravidarum. I weigh less than I did before I was pregnant and am on disability leave from work.
Don't get down on yourself if you do have to drop classes. Every pregnancy is different. What one woman can do may not work for you. I think I'm speaking to myself more than anyone because I feel as though I let the people in my life down by not going back to school...
Afffy I'm glad the class went well and you found someone nice to buddy with just in case you need notes. Showard I'm due dec. 4th and my classes end on the 16th. Going to try and have no missing classes other than my week I'm due and hope they end classes early. I'm happy to see others are still going to school too
Started my last semester of nursing school today and have a 4 1/2 boy. Beleive me I'm already dead tired and it's my first day but possible. I'm done Dec 9th and my little boy is due Jan 13th.
I had my first class today after pregnancy and it went fine.. one of my girl friends from class found out and she was super excited and very nice to me.. I guess it'll be ok..
Thanks everyone, and Zara I will keep in touch and let you know how its going you do the same. Talking to you guys really helped um excited again about starting class on the 4th
Hi dana sounds like you are already a great example to your daughter. You can do it. Wishing you all the best. Keep me updated how you get on. You shouldn't worry what people think. I think it's amazing what you are doing for your daughter your new bundle of joy and yourself. Good on you!!!
I worked full time as a host and went to school full time when I was pregnant with my first. I just suggest getting super comfy shoes, drink plenty of water, and rest whenever you can. Don't worry about what people think. You can do it :)
I'm starting school today and I'm weeks.. I was really anxious about doing it all and being in class seemed awkward.. but most Of the people around me are very supportive when they found out and are very excited.. so don't worry.. it'll work out fine..
My husband and I just found out we are pregnant. Im about 5 weeks along and thus far my biggest fear is post partum depression. My family doesn't have a bad history of it, however since ive been married i have had awful nightmares about postpartum depression landing me in a psych ward. . . Does anyone have a coping technique for fears like this?
Thanks Zara and Kenziejeanise. I guess because I'm 6 months I felt a little awkward about it my due date is Dec.4th and classes are ending around that time. It's great to know that there are others dealing with the same thing I am. I just want to be a great example for my 11 year old and my little girl coming
I already started school and I'm 8 weeks its not so bad . Yall will be able to get through it if I can and I'm 14
Hi dana you go for it. I'm a nurse working in nursing home full time and going back to college in Sept for my second year master degree. I'm 6weeks so my due date I'll be in the middle ofnmy thesis. But I'm gonna do it.., even though people have told me to postpone. We can do it! Believe in yourself us! women are strong creatures :-D
