How long does it take for a third degree tear to heal? And will my vagina close up again?
I had a 3 degree tear...it took about 2 to 3 months to fully heal...i was a single mother for a very long time. So i wasn't having sex or anything. I tore naturally, and it took about 3 stitches i think. Maybe 5...i couldn't really tell, seeing that I couldn't look that far. I did not feel it when it happened, but i did feel it every time I went to the bathroom or sitting down or getting back up.
Actually she said 10 to 12 weeks for full recovery
My friend had a really horrible 3rd degree tear. It took about 8 week for her to fully heal and be back to normal but yes....it will be ok. Hers was the worse I have ever heard of and she recovered.
