after much Consideration, why I'm refusing ultrasounds...

Im pregnant with my 2nd child. I've never had an ultrasound. my son is very healthy and my current pregnancy is low risk. I had a natural birth  in a hospital and I'm planning the same again. I see a midwife and I'm refusing ultrasound because there's really no reason I need to get one besides that it's now "standard of care". But I question the validity of universal ultrasounds in pregnancy. here is why... http://chriskresser.com/natural-childbirth-iia-is-ultrasound-necessary-effective-in-pregnancy/

The positions I tried included mostly squatting and laying down on back. the lattet because there were some complications which required vaccum intervention because my son had shoulder dystopia and was in fetal distress due to a short umbilical cord being tightly wrapped around his neck. It was close to being an emergency c-section. The vaccum was very painful and left him with some  trauma Which he recovered from in NICU as a precaution. which is why I'm choosing to give birth again in hospital with a doula and midwife. Just in case. Yea, I mean my midwife is very respectful of what I want to do and I take it seriously to look into things and make informed decisions. If for any reason I need to get an ultrasound,  I will absolutely. Its just a personal decision. Thank you Mw89 , bless your pregnancy and hope you have a healthy baby as well!

What positions did you use during natural childbirth in the hospital if you don't mind me asking?
