stretch marks

I know ever womans body is different but I am a ftm and was wondering when u ladies started getting stretch marks?  I am 28 weeks along and havent gotten any yet but I do keep my stomach and sides moisturized. My mom didnt get ANY stretch marks wit me and neither did any of her 5 sisters. Do u think I will get them?

My grandmother,mom & aunts didnt get the but I did. Got them at the end of 35weeks. I'll blame it on my dads side lol

I'm at 32 weeks now and still no stretch marks thank god!!! And I'm surprised considering the amount of weight I put on in such a short amount of time.... but I keep well moisterized. ....

I got them with my first at around 8 months. My mom nor my sister has any but I ended up getting them. Looked like Freddy Kruger got a hold of me after I gave birth. Genetics may be a factor but it totally skipped me. So I would say your not out of the woods till after you give birth!

I started out with NONE at all & then once I hit 30 weeks- BAM they were ALL over! :/ Totally got blind sighted one morning because they just "showed" up. lol makes me sad.. so its still a possibility you could get them!

Genetics does play a role in stretch marks. So if you're mom didn't get them you probably won't either.
