1st timer here! Questions galore!

Well pretty much. I am 7 weeks prego and this is my first. I am beyond curious as to know how people go about getting excited, baby announcements, etc.
Im aware this isnt the 20th century, but should I wait for announcements, the excitement, buying baby stuff- until I'm at least 3 months?
How much of a dissapointment if something unfortunate does happen? Isn't the chance of miscarriage higher as you go along?
Thanks in advance<3

Thank you everyone<3 I'll definitely be taking the advice and waiting! Of course the hubby and our parents know- but I do have to agree on waiting for the official announcement!

We waited until we found out the gender at 17 weeks to announce it publicly. We only told close friends and family before that.

I'm 18 weeks and having brought any baby stuff myself. We have been given stuff. Our family knows but we haven't told anyone else.

I had to tell everyone at 6 week's due to the nature of my job, but if I could I would have waited until the 12 week scan to announce to everyone. Congrats about the bubba x

You should wait to tell anyone until you are out of your first trimester. You are at a higher risk to miscarry during your first trimester. It's okay to tell parents/ boyfriend but wait to announce it to your friends or any social media such as Facebook and Instagram. Your chances of miscarriage lessen the further along you get. Congrats on your pregnancy
