Thank you guys I tried Miralax and it is helping also am drinking more water n eating more fruits.
Colace, Miralax, prunes, prune juice, apples or applesauce. All good options.
I drink lots of water (around 120 oz per day), take a probiotic every morning along with a stool softener my dr prescribed. Good luck! This has been the worst pregnancy symptom for me.
I suffer really badly from constipation I take Lactulose every day that seems to do the trick.
Make sure you are getting plenty of fluids. You can take fiber supplements. On my list of safe med from my dr, I was allowed to take docusate (colace). I have also seen Dr's say it is OK for miralax.
You can also take a stool softener that's over the counter it will help with out making you have the opposite problem. I'm taking it with an Iron supplement and . It helps a lot.
Try one Apple or two carrots everyday. It works for me. I am 24 weeks now and haven't had one day of trouble since I got pregnant, even though I have always had a slow digestive system.
