delivery story

I loved reading delivery stories so im posting mine. Enjoy!
This is my 4th child. My first 2 were late, i was induced and had an epidural with both. My third came on his own a couple days early, I labored at home and he was born within 10 of getting to the hospital (no pain meds). Since I did no medication for my third I knew I could do it again for my 4th. So that's what I planned. I had been having BH for weeks and contractions for about 3-4 days before delivery, they just weren't regular. So Saturday the 28th I kept having contractions that were getting worse but still not regular, they varried between 3 to 5 to 10 min apart. I decided to go to the hospital. Got to the hospital at 5:30 pm. They checked me and I was only at a 3 and 80%. They said they'd wait 1hr to see if I progressed if so they would admit me if not I'd have to go home. Luckily the nurse talked to my midwife who said she would just break my water if I wasn't progressing since my due date was in 2 days anyways. Luckily when they checked me again i was at a 4 so they admitted me and I didn't have to have my water broken. I got my room between 6:30 and 7 and was able to get in their big walk-in tub to labor. At around 9:30 I felt sick like I needed to throw up, and did, and like I needed to poop. So we drained the water and I got out. They wanted to check me before I tried to go to the bathroom and sure enough baby was crowning. I stood next to the bed and did poop (I actually did need to, it's OK many do). Then felt a little relief before the major pain. Baby came out with 2 blood curling screames/pushes from me (I have never screamed before in labor but it helped a lot). She was born at 9:37pm weighting 8# 9oz 20in long. Again no pain meds! So worth every second of discomfort to see her angle face. Good luck to all you ladies who have a little longer.
