diabetes type 2

I had type 2 diabetes before I got pregnant. I'm 8 weeks and I inject insulin twice a day. They said if I don't control my levels my baby will be too overweight . any suggestions besides eating right and exercising? Is anyone else experiencing this?

I'm the product of a type 1 diabetic. I was born weighing 10lbs 12oz because all my mom's sugars were coming to me.
All you can really do is focus on a low carb diet & exercise. Walking should be just fine. I wish you both happy, healthy babies.
