do i have to or should i?

Am I supposed to wash the baby's clothes before I put it on him? I'm a ftm and  got lots of clothes for my lil boy in the baby shower but I don't know if I should wash it before he wears it. And should I wash it now or wait til he's born? Lol

They say it's best to wash them because you know at the stores the clothes will fall on the floor and people pick them up put them back up and touch them and hands are dirty floors are dirty..just bacteria

You do need to wash clothes, towels, etc before use because of the chemicals used in processing them. I'd say that washing them up to a month before birth would be fine as long as you have them stored in a clean and dry place.
