I'm 9w and 4w. This mornin my dad made me scrambled eggs that were runny. I didn't wanna be rude by rejecting them. I read on Google that if a pregnant woman eats eggs they have to be cooked all the way. Will this affect the baby?

I had crab legs in the beginning of my pregnancy. My husband took me to red lobster cause he knows I love it there. My sister called freaking out because I had crab she made me so nervous cause I didn't know I'm also a Ftm and I talked to my Dr she said it's fine to eat it just not every single day. Ok ur talking about eggs but I've also had a dippy egg and it didn't do anything me and baby are healthy.

I have been told that you can have runny eggs as long as all the white is cooked as that's the bit that carries the bacteria.

I'm sure cave woman did just fine with not knowing much of anything so I wouldn't take precautions to serious Just avoid when you can and relax if you can't. eating a few runny eggs and a fish that is high in mercury Isn't going to hurt your baby

Stay way from Google. I used to google almost everything I ate since I'm ftm. I told to subway wasn't healthy, this wasn't healthy or that. Drove me crazy & become paranoid. I stopped googling :-)

People crack raw eggs into their healthy shakes,  and egg nog has raw eggs in it.

Some of these cautions are way over blown.

The CDC estimates that one in 20,000 eggs is contaminated with salmonella.  The chances that THAT egg will be consumed raw is miniscule.

Its so funny how people are told differenr things from their providers during pregnancy. I was told its fine and I eat eggs over easy all the time that's the way I have always eaten them.

you cant have runny eggs because there could be bacteria in the eggs and only way to kill it off is to cook them all the way. otherwise the bacteria can make you sick and in turn make baby very sick sometimes cause miscarriage

Your baby will be just fine, it's not like you eat it like that all the time. Just explain to your dad that everything you eat must be thoroughly cooked.
