In my first trimester I couldn't even look at water and I was always a huge water drinker...I just had this sweet disgusting taste in my mouth always and water just brought it out more making me want to vomit...what I tried doing, because water is important, is mix it with other drinks like iced tea or lemonade, or add fresh lemon to ice water. That seemed to help me. It wasn't straight water, it had a little flavor but you weren't drinking just solely a sugary drink. Maybe that will work for you too...I'm now in my second trimester and can drink water fine, that first trimester is always crazy :)

There's nothing better to drink than water. Everything else has too much sugar and artificial dyes in it. You should be drinking about a gallon of water a day. If you aren't used to drinking water, it will take you a few days to get used to drinking that much. However, that's the best thing for you and baby. Gatorade or other sports drinks are high in sugars and sodium. Unless you are putting out a ton of sweat, they aren't good to drink on a regular basis.
