I just had my baby 3 days ago and the new thing is to hold off the bath for 12-24 hours after they are born. They did a quick wipe down, and that was that. They gave me all the paperwork on it, why its good.

They gave my son a sponge bath less than an hr after he came out and you really shouldn't get the cord wet but if you want to risk it...

And they're never bathed when they first come out. You must wait atleast two hours after they're born

No as long as you let it dry after you've bathed them it's fine. You can look it up if you like. You can bath them whenever you're comfortable, I bathed my daughter when I brought her home too and she was just fine. Her cord was fine. It's ok to bath them.

Of course they are bathed when they first come out. The cord is freshly cut and hasn't begun healing. The reason you wait for the cord yo fall off is because it needs to stay dry to heal properly, duh.

My midwife bathed my daughter before her cord fell off so I'm pretty sure they can be bather before that happens, my daughter bathed for the first time on the second day of her life

You aren't supposed to get the cord wet so you have to wait until it falls off to give a real bath. Until it does fall off you can sponge bathe every other day. Doing it more often than that will dry their skin.

You can sponge bathe baby right away, but no submerging in water until the cord falls off.

I  bathed mine the day after I brought then home and then once a week unless they needed one before  I didnt wanna do it more often because I didnt wanna dry their skin out and they didnt much like it. Some babies love a bath though. Mibe always likedvthe water a little warmer than they revommend... Obviously not too hot though
