Anyone who's water broke at home...

So I'm 40 weeks and 1 day. Last night I kept having this clear discharge come out. (Sorry, I know it sounds gross...) But its not the same consistency as my plug. Its like (okay, this is gonna be tmi again so please bear with me :->) you know when you get wet before sex? That's what its like. I just wanted to know if amniotic fluid is like that or if its like pee or water. I feel kinda dumb asking this but I really need to know.. Also is that kind of discharge normal if it isn't my water breaking?

Put on a pad. When my water broke I srarted leaking first in little gushes but enough to feel it coming out. If its ur waters it should have a straw like colour wen its on the pad. After gushes all day I suddenly heard a pop and they went all over the floor.  Good luck.
