I'm starving but nothing sounds good :(

I'm 9 weeks pregnant and everyday I have to force myself to eat. I definitely have food aversion rather than craving. Nothing ever sounds good and a lot of times whatever I eat just makes me gag. I know I need to eat for me and the baby but I don't think I'm getting enough food for just one of us. Any suggestions?

Glad I'm not the only one feeling this way. Nothing sounds good to me right now. I don't even realize I haven't eaten until I feel I'm starving. I had morning sickness one morning and it went away. I crave fruits fruits and fruits. Oh and orange juice...I want it all day.

Same thing happened to me, definitely no fun :/ Try foods or beverages with ginger root like ginger ale. Also, eat something like crackers before getting up in the morning. Try to eat and drink slowly as stomach is still very sensitive since hcg is coursing through ur body. I had my first appointment at 10wks, def talk to ur dr about nausea and inability to keep foods down..they should give u an antiemetic (they gave me zofran and it helped a lot). I am 14wks now and finally starting to feel better/nausea free. So it shouldnt last ;)

Just to reassure you....you dont need to eat in the first trimester as the baby will get the nutrients it needs from your liver....as long as you are taking pregnacare and drinking lots of water your baby will be fine...and your baby will catch up if it needs any extra once you can eat :) Try not to worry....the female body is very clever. As long as I'm taking my vitamins I haven't worried too much about what I eat. If my body tells me to eat it I do. When I go grocery shopping is hard because I'll have a meal planned but when I go to pick out most of the food I can't stand to touch it. I'm 11 weeks. Never got morning sickness but definitely have food aversion. Right now I crave stuff like fruit, yogurt, and salad. Sometimes tacos. :-)

I had the same problem as of right now its sort of the same and im 16weeks. What i did was try to drink herbalife as a meal which helped me alot or i ate tons of fruit. I also ate what my tummy liked lol like  junk stuff doughnuts, chocolate cakes etc.  . im guessing my baby is really picky . But i did try to atleast eat eggs with rice.
