Stretch & sweep???.
Hi ftm, 38 weeks & 5 days pregnant, booked in for a stretch n sweep at my antenatal clinic has anyone been through this & does it really work??.

You're welcome. You might experience some spotting but its nothing to be concerned about.
It won't hurt your baby. What they are going to do is very quick and simple. They take their finger and move it around in a circle inside your cervix. You feel a little bit of a pinch feeling but its not painful. What it does is have your body release oxytocin which is a hormone. Also it helps the amniotic sac separate a bit from the wall. Baby will be fine and so will you. It literally takes like 20 to 30 seconds.
