heartbroken

I went for an ultrasound this morning, I'm 8+5, and found out I was having twins 10 days ago. I had a vaginal ultrasound 10 days ago and today, saw the heart beats with my first ultrasound and saw no heart beat at all today...I'm devestated, I've had 2 healthy pregnancies and now a miscarriage?  I guess I just want to hear stories from other moms that went through the same thing, they have me scheduled for a d&c Monday I can't even wrap my head around any of this, I'm just so sad

I had a mmc back in june at 13 weeks.. I would definitely recommend a d&c.... it definitely helped me emotionally because I was not strong enough to miscarry on my own (cramping & seeing tissue, I just couldn't imagine) I recovered quick & got my period back exactly a month later... & with a mmc you don't have any bleeding or cramping usually,  that's why most women find out at a regular checkup. :(

I miscarried in April. Everything expelled naturally though so I didn't have to do a D&C. I would wait if I were you. If anything you will expel it naturally. I got pregnant again right after though and am now 26 weeks pregnant and on bed rest for going into preterm labor last Monday. :/

I can't believe they would be so anxious to do a D&C this early. Honestly I thought that's what they normally did when the baby was a lot bigger.
I would really encourage you to wait and see, and definitely get a second opinion and blood work. It seems like women are being told more and more in the early stages, "Oops sorry, no heartbeat, better get a D&C" when if they would have just waited a few more weeks they would have seen a healthy heartbeat.
Do what your heart says. Pray about it, but please don't be too hasty.

They should be sending to have your hcg levels checked as well that would be another way they could confirm a miscarriage... I lost two pregnancies last year one in July at roughly 7 weeks and then I lost a molar pregnancy at the end of September. My body did it's job and expelled everything naturally and I did not need a D&C for either of them.. I am now almost 36weeks pregnant with a healthy baby boy. Don't give up hope of having a baby. I had two normal pregnancies and two normal births before my miscarriages this is my 5th pregnancy but only my third child

They say to wait til your 12 weeks to try and listen for a heartbeat as that's the soonest they can medically credit one. I would wait a while and see what happens

Your still very very early ! I agree to watch at least two weeks and get another ultrasound. They cant force you to get a d&c done. Have faith! BTW, are you bleeding at all?

I agree that you should wait. Get a second opinion or just wait to miscarry naturally. Doctors are wrong all the time. It's still really early, maybe your doctor just didn't look hard enough. I'd wait just to be on the safe side.
I hope the best for you. Good luck momma

I would wait for that d&c or at least wait so that you can get a second opinion my sister-in-law was told that her baby didnt have a heartbeat decided to wait and not do the d&c the hospital kept calling her saying that there was nothing they could do and that she needed the d&c asap. She said no 2 weeks later went to another hospital for a second opinion got an ultrasound & there was a heartbeat.. Dont lose hope and stay positive
