What exactly are Braxton Hicks? How do they feel like? Why do you get them?

Your belly gets rock hard and if there's anything in your bladder, you feel like you have to pee. Not usually painful, and often I don't even notice them unless I have a full bladder

My doctor said that they usually happen towards the end but I'm 23 weeks and already feeling them... gona ask if thats normal on my next appointment. They feel just like the other ladies described, belly tightening and becoming hard for couple seconds and than relaxes

Not everyone gets them but they're common. You might get them and not even realize it.

My belly would tighten up and it would be hard to breathe. I use to think they were the baby moving but then one day I put my hand on my stomach while it was happening and realized it wasnt the baby. Just my stomach getting tight.

Braxton hicks are fake contractions that strengthen your uterus for birth. for me it was just an uncomfortable feeling my belly would tighten up and go rock hard sometimes it was abit painful but each time didn't last long.
