how do you....

Get the smoke smell out of clothes??
We don't smoke, but a friend just gave us a TON of baby clothes and some blankets and a carrier cover ans unfortunately they ALL smell like smoke!!  I am washing them now, but I'm not sure one trip is gonna do it.  Is there any way to get the smell out????  I really want to use the things our friend gave us, but I can't stand the smokey smell!!!!  Thanks for any and all suggestions!!!!  :-)

I'm highly allergic to cigarette smoke so I probably wouldn't have taken them. So I personally don't blame you.
